Visual Journalism and More!

Jeff Glick Design

Recommended for newspapers, magazines, eZines, websites, and everything dependent on design [and strategy] like marketing campaigns.

For its excellent work in graphics and design from content to packaging that can translate into sales, Jeff Glick's record speaks for itself.

One of the services being provided - the CONSULTING FOR NEW JOURNALISM - is intriguing as well as novel and timely. On Cross-Media Culture, it renders services on "how to change one's newsroom culture to embrace convergence."

Societies with dominant-subordinate groups can relate well with this. For example, in a country where the majority are Christians, reporters would often mention "Muslim" to identify the subject/subjects as in "Muslim bandits," "Muslim rebels," "Muslim guerrillas," to the consternation of the Muslim groups in the country. They ask why newspapers would never mention "Christian robber," "Christian thief," "Christian rapist." They ask that books be re-written to remove all these expressions.

To resolve these issues, reporters are trained in peace reporting. Books are published on cross-culture communication. Still the problem persists.

For Jeff Glick, it takes the service as far as editorial rooms.
